Andrea Sorgato, LMT
Andrea graduated from the Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). Before studying massage, he earned his bachelor's degree at Lesley University, where he designed his own program in Health and Environmental Studies because of his strong belief in the benefits of healthy living.
In his previous life as a professional runner in Italy, he had regular appointments with a massage therapist in order to stay healthy and prevent injuries. These experiences brought him to believe in the power of touch and inspired him to study massage.
Andrea now works to share his perspective that massage is as much about prevention as it is about therapy. His warm, friendly nature puts his clients at ease. Although he doesn't underestimate the power of a good relaxation massage, Andrea specializes in sport, deep tissue, and myofascial release techniques. He is also trained in many orthopedic techniques, Active Isolated Stretching, and certified in cupping and hot stone massage.
When not massaging in his offices, Andrea works as a massage therapist for the Harvard University Track & Field and Cross Country teams, and continues to train as an athlete himself. He is a member of the New Balance Boston running club, and still competes in races.
